Why You Have to Try Airport Park and Fly Services

This is an important public service announcement! Listen up! If you’re after convenience when flying, then you are missing out by not using the airport park and fly services. As a recently converted supporter, I’m here to give you the lowdown on how I got into it and how it’s made a difference when I fly.

As a very busy consultant that also travels often, I decided last year that I was going to try and claw back as much of my free time as possible to do the things that I wanted to do. There were a whole bunch of things on my hit list that I thought needed to change and so I set about doing so.

First up, I’m not a huge fan of cooking. I also find it annoying having to go through and choose for home delivery evening meals though. So I instead signed up for one of those food delivery services that deliver your meals once a week and all you do is reheat and/or throw them together. They’re healthy, easy, and save me heaps of time that I’d spend either cooking or trying to decide what to have for dinner that night.

As I said, I travel a lot, and that’s a real one of my pain points. So I set about trying to streamline the process as much as possible. The majority of my travel is domestic, so I thought that it was high time that I joined one of the lounges. I don’t know why I didn’t do it earlier. It’s kind of nice – I go in quite a while before my plane is due, grab some food and drinks and do some work on my laptop in a relaxed atmosphere. I’ve found that I’m more productive in the airport lounge that I am if I’m working from home, so it’s a real boon.

Before, I’d always catch a taxi or an Uber to the airport, and from the airport too. I thought this was the best option at the time, because who wants to take public transport? But I noticed that it was also annoying at times. Sometimes I couldn’t get a hold of a taxi or an Uber when I wanted to so I’d be stressed out wondering if I’d end up getting to the airport in time. Sometimes when I’d return home from another city, the taxi line would be about half an hour long, with so many flights coming in at the same time. So I thought it’d be worth giving a park and ride solution a go. After all, I didn’t have anything to lose – the cost was around the same as my taxis (if not less!).

So I checked out the park and rides available at my airport. I have a pretty nice car that I’d like to keep in good condition, so I chose undercover parking and even added the extra car wash service that was an additional extra – which also saves me a trip out to the car wash as well – even better! Well anyway, I tried out the park and rode and let me tell you that I’m sold. It does make the whole airport transport thing run way more smoothly, which is the exact thing that I’m looking for in all these little things to help claw back time and transform my life. If you often travel (or even if you don’t!), then I’d recommend giving park and ride airport services a go. You’re sure to find them an easy and surprisingly affordable solution just like I did.
